Massa Stories
Design and production of communications for the Massa Stories residency in Morocco
The visual identity of Massa Stories reflects the encounter between French artists in residence and the rich Moroccan landscapes that welcome them. With its ochre and orange colour palette, bright colours, drawings inspired by the region and striking symbols, it embodies a sensitive dialogue between two worlds.
The logo is a meeting between the Latin alphabet, thanks to the Caliste typeface designed by Émile Rigaud, and the glyphs of the contemporary Tifinagh font Amdal, designed in 2022 by Walid Bouchouchi.
The family of symbols inspired by Moroccan architectural forms identifies the different places (house, school, embroidery, village, reserve) linked to the residence's activities.
Based on photos of the place, its inhabitants and activities, the illustrations highlight the warm atmosphere of the residence. The freehand style used evokes the importance of the hand and gesture in the project, while emphasising the central role of craftsmanship and traditional skills.
Visual communication is mainly deployed on social media.
We also created the posters and signage for the exhibition marking the end of the fifth edition of the Artists' Residency, which took place from 17 to 19 January 2025 at Tesson Project Space, 75011 Paris.
