Design and production of the book Standard Structures

Production of a book summarising the survey conducted by Laurine Schott for Collectif 17h25, which brings together cultural institutions committed to ecological and societal transition. Its founding members are the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, the Opéra de Paris, the Opéra de Lyon and the Théâtre de la Monnaie. They share a common goal: to improve and strengthen their practices through innovation and the pooling of their human, technical and financial resources. This partnership also aims to promote shared values in the cultural sector and contribute to the dissemination of best practices within it.

At the request of Laurine Schott of SLAU Design Studio, we worked together to determine the best way to report on this study of sustainable scenographic practices. This book recounts her field research in 15 European theatres and opera houses. It is based on a user-centred design methodology: observations, interviews, analysis of systems and infrastructure.

The technical document is divided into 15 sections, one for each opera house. The use of different coloured and sized paper makes it easy to navigate between descriptions, photographs and technical plans.
